The Home Corner is so much more than a place to play house. It’s a powerhouse for language, a stage for storytelling and wonderful place for children to practice the words, conversations and social skills they need to make sense of their world.

Join Alice as we lift the lid on the learning potential of Home Corner play. exploring how role play, oral language games and traditional ring games can build vocabulary, strengthen speaking and listening skills, and give children the confidence to communicate, negotiate and share ideas.

And with Christmas just around the corner, we’ll sprinkle in some festive inspiration to transform the Home Corner into a hive of activity, conversation and possibility.

Expect practical ideas, playful provocations and plenty of “I hadn’t thought of that” moments.
